Lust for lustre

The small town of Baccarat in Lorraine and its environs are famous for crystal glass and lustre productionin since the 18th Century. The largest lead crystal Baccarat chandelier in the world is hanging in the Muayede Salonu the Dolmabahçe Seraglio in Istanbul. It weighs a whopping 4.5 tons and is equipped with 750 lamps.
