Slow Food
In addition to the purely sensual and cultural aspects such as slowing down, quality of life, tastes and pleasures, the political commitment of the Slow Food movement has a very significant relevance. In their lobbying, the members are committed to consumer protection, sustainable regional agricultural policy and environmental protection and they act against factory farming, genetically modified and chemically contaminated foods and monoculture. Regional economies are strengthened and the people should be tied with eye, ear, mouth and hands to their region again. Needless to say, fast food is an abomination form them. Their logo is a grapevine snail.
